Get to know about FMMI

History of FMMI

During the year 1998, Social Worker Mr.Pushparaj alias Ramkumar, a Male Nurse by profession and a Life Time member of had a visit to Jaghanabad District, Bihar. During the visit of Mr.Pushparaj along with another Social Worker Mr.Korneleus, he has come across a seventy year old man carrying his seventeen year old son on his shoulders who has been suffering from viral fever for a prolonged period towards a clinic in Jagnabath District, which is fourty three kilometers away from his village.

The clinic was found to be in a small room run. The clinic has not found to be maintained in a hygienic manner. Noticing the pathetic situation of the underprivileged society and the seventy year old father who was longing for the healing of his son, these two Social Workers helped them by providing a Paracetamol tablet and counseled them how to maintain hygienic life. The boy affected with viral fever was completely healed.

This situation burdened him and he shared the medical needs of the people in the underprivileged areas with the likeminded socially concerned people, Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacist, Lab Technicians, Eye Technicians and other health care professionals. Thereafter Mr.Puspharaj has worked with several social work organizations assisting the underprivileged community across India and other countries to ensure Medical Services and Health care to protect and save human lives.

His social concern and vision for the underprivileged community to ensure Medical Services and health care has driven him to establish the Social Work Organization, "Friends Medical Mission International (FMMI) by 1st December 2014.
